While not a CGS matter per se, members will be aware of the plans afoot to develop an M&S Food store on the Torrington Close car par. We're aware some members may wish to know more or discuss.
Planning consent has not yet been applied for and official details are still developing. EBC website has a press release page on it here. There is a lot of information, drawings and opinions, circulating in online communities. A formal invitation to comment will be advertised by EBC when a planning application is made.
If you would like to register your view in general terms before this goes to planning, however, email the Parish Councilors whose details can be found on www.claygateparishcouncil.gov.uk and your EBC ward councillors Mike Rollings, Alex Coomes and Bruce McDonald whose addresses are on the Elmbridge website under "Councillors".
A number of the CGS committee, including me (Ken Kilmister) attended a "lively" village hall meeting on the matter last Friday which I would be happy to discuss members privately, on request.
