The annual CAHA & CGS Summer BBQ at Vale road allotments was very well attended by about 80 people who contributed a wonderful selection of salads and puddings which complemented a superb BBQ cooked by John Elkins, Tony Woolhead and Bill Kennedy.
The Claygate Scouts put up their marquee for us which provided much needed shade on a very warm and sunny day.
Thank you to everyone who helped with preparation of melon, jacket potatoes and trout and setting up the BBQ, gazebos and tables. A big thank you also to Libby Grant for doing a mammoth shop for all the sundry items and a very big thank you to John Elkins for his overall management of a very successful day.
